THE JOURNEY XV - A LITTLE LIFE

Right...where do I start. It's hard to put into words what this project means to me...how much time, thought and love went into planning this. I always told myself this would be my project of a lifetime. I never felt ready for this song. I never felt my expertise only remotey sufficed to do this song justice. A song that has meant everything to me in my own little life. But then in June I had this sudden urge, something needed to be told. And something told me "you are ready to tell your first version of this story". Will there be a second one in maybe a decade? Probably. Because that's what art means to me. A snapshot of the present moment and yourself in that present moment. I started choreographing, visualizing and planning for this project in June. And even though in the beginning I didnt fully know where I was going with this, things kept finding me. (Thank you to Zoe and Malcom for letting me keep that beautiful hourglass I found in their garage, just knew I needed to have it, didnt know why at the time). People always say you have to find meaning in your life, but sometimes "meaning" can find you all by itself. This clip is a love letter to life, in all its entirety and complexity. An homage to the pain we endure in a lifetime. The desperate need for authentic connection/love and the loneliness that results from the lack thereof. The feeling of being totally misplaced in this human world and the hurt that results from that - Hurting because you realize your values dont necessarily coincide with those of others. Life is about collecting scars as well as stars. I have always been inspired by my pain. It's what led me to my artistry. I am beyond thankful for the life I live. In all its versatility. I would like to deeply thank @a13xaub3r for his amazing, unparralled work and genius. My projects would be nothing more but mind movies if it werent for his insane skills and eye for detail.
Dearest MJ, without your art, I dont know where I would be. Maybe I can catch you in the afterlife so I can thank you properly.
